What characterizes monitoring projects?

Projects in the field of monitoring aim to regularly collect data on young people in Luxembourg.

Randomly selected young people from Luxembourg take part in surveys, which we plan, conduct and evaluate. Projects in this area provide important data bases for the entire Luxembourg youth research.

Flagship projects

Youth Survey Luxembourg (YSL)

The Youth Survey Luxembourg collects data every five years on aspects of young people’s lives in Luxembourg such as health, political participation and social engagement. Interim surveys are conducted under special circumstances. The YAC survey, explores youth in the COVID-19 pandemic.

HBSC Survey 2018

In the 2018 HBSC survey, over 8,000 students were questioned. Among other things, they were asked how many of them smoke, how often they exercise, and how comfortable they feel at school and at home. As HBSC is a WHO partner study, the results can be compared with those from 50 countries in Europe, Asia and North America.
