About the study
The University of Luxembourg is carrying out a survey for the City of Esch-sur-Alzette.
Aim: to better understand how young people take part in city life (and why they do or don’t take part).
What we’re asking you to do
You answer a questionnaire about your experiences, your views and your habits in Esch-sur-Alzette.
How long it takes: about 20 minutes.
Taking part is 100% voluntary.
Anonymity and confidentiality
The questionnaire is anonymous:
- we do not ask for your name, address or any other personal information,
- your answers stay confidential.
- Answers are only analysed at an overall level (by group) and cannot be used to identify you.
How the data is used
The results are used to:
- write a report for the City of Esch-sur-Alzette,
- give scientific presentations and write scientific publications.
- The data is used for research purposes only.
Consent and your rights
If you continue and complete the questionnaire, you agree to take part in the study.
You can refuse to take part or stop at any time, with no consequences at all.

Before giving your child permission to take part in this study, we invite you to read the information below carefully.
About the study
The University of Luxembourg is conducting a survey for the City of Esch-sur-Alzette.
The aim is to better understand how young people participate in city life and the factors that encourage or limit their participation.
What your child is asked to do
If you give your consent, your child will be invited to complete a questionnaire about their experiences, opinions and habits in Esch-sur-Alzette.
- Duration: approximately 20 minutes.
- Participation is entirely voluntary.
Your child may choose not to answer certain questions or to stop participating at any time, with no consequences.
Anonymity and confidentiality
The questionnaire is anonymous:
- no name, address or other information that could identify your child will be requested;
- all answers will remain strictly confidential.
The data will be analysed at an overall level only (by group) and will not allow individual participants to be identified.
How the data is used
The results of the study will be used to:
- draw up a report for the City of Esch-sur-Alzette;
- prepare scientific presentations and publications.
The data will be used exclusively for research purposes.
Consent and rights
By authorising your child to take part and allowing him/her to complete the questionnaire, you confirm that you have read the information above and consent to his/her participation in this study.
You may withdraw your consent at any time, before or during your child’s participation, with no consequences.
