HBSC Survey 2026
Health Behaviour of School-aged Children
What is the state of health and well-being of young people in Luxembourg? To answer this question, over 8,000 pupils are surveyed every four years.
Among other things, they are asked how satisfied they are with their life, how many of them smoke, how often they exercise, how well they feel at school and at home.
The 2026 HBSC survey builds on the 2022 HBSC survey. Where possible, the same questions are retained to enable comparison over time. At the same time, new items are included: organised leisure-time activities (e.g. team and individual sports, artistic activities), (e.g. reading books, playing an instrument), sedentary habits (such as sitting for long periods) and disability and chronic conditions (such as assessing long-term health conditions, its relationship to health and well-being, and its impact on daily functioning).
The HBSC is a partner study of the WHO, as such the results can be compared with those from 50 other countries and regions in Europe, Asia and North America.
